Improved Tram-System, Street names, layout changes, better Textures & more Stuff!

Over the last weeks, the New Shoregate Public Works Department has been busy with some major construction across town!

Whilst there were countless improvements and fixes here is are the most significant ones. As usual with projects like this, New Shoregate is never really finished. It will continue to change and evolve, to become better and better - or at least slightly different!

The streets have been officially named!

This was one of the changes that might feel not like a big thing at first, but it just gives the whole place a bit more character, a bit more relatability maybe - at least for us. Some names may sound familiar, others not so much. If you, for example, wondering who the hell Mary Anning was, look no further!

The Bridge is The Bridge, because its a Bridge!

One of these houses has the number C#!

It looks now better than ever before!

Our tireless workforce did spare no costs and adjusted the layout of the city to make it visually more interesting and give you more spots here and there to explore. And whilst at it, the roads got resurfaced and sport now the nicest cobblestone textures the Marketplace could offer. Don't they look magnificent!

Ooooh, Shiny!

More twists and turns to have a more lively city layout.

Right hand: down from The Bridge to the harbour, Left hand: up from the Lower Iommi Lane, up the Mary Shelley Way.

The Tram-system has been significantly improved!

I think never in my life I have been so excited about public transport! Not only got the tram lane now a loop that leads it across the harbour and through the Iommi Lower Lane, making it cover an even bigger percentage of the city -  our local script mage Emma Sunshine gave it also revamped inner workings that make it run even smoother and handle all those nasty new turns I put in with spectacular grace!

Tram! With propeller!

After she was done with her script magic Emma was so excited that she blatantly overstepped her competences and made a completely new mesh body for the tram as well. Admittedly, I'm glad she did because it looks just great. She also added a propeller engine to it. If you ask her she will probably say for aerodynamic reasons, I guess, but honestly - everything looks better with a propeller mounted onto it. Go and try it on your car, bike, pet or children first thing tomorrow morning!

That's it for now for the big infrastructure changes in New Shoregate. We will keep you up to date with more developments soon!

It rises again !!!

 Welcome to New Shoregate!

Are you new here? Well, enjoy the lovely English weather, enhanced with some genuine industrial smog and some other… ermm atmospheric phenomenons we don‘t like talking about. Why not taking a ride on our fully automatic tram. It is mostly safe and stops at pretty much all of the island‘s important landmarks! Enjoy engaging with the locals. Most of them are Zombies, but I won‘t hold that against them (a rifle however…). On the other hand, us living inhabitants are the most friendly and totally not crazy bunch you can imagine! Oh, and feels free to check out the local Pub, Morlock‘s Revenge. Just don‘t give Gin to the Zombies. That never ends well… trust me.

You are not so much the sociable type? That‘s totally fine with us too. Why not having a stroll at the local Cemetery. There is plenty to explore there – and don‘t miss the swamp. You might even find some bones from the people who have disappeared there under mysterious circumstances – doesn‘t that sounds exciting!

Speaking of excitement – aviation is our big passion here. And we got all the facilities: an Airship docking tower (hard to miss really), an airship wharf, battle balloons (great to kill boredom – and other people!) and so much more! Oh, and by the way, please don‘t mind the wreck of the HMS Arkham. Accidents happen and frankly – that building block it crashed into wasn‘t exactly the most beautful spot on the island anyway!

Anyway. See you alive or undead – we hope you have a blast here at New Shoregate!

Your New Shoregate City Council.
